Pyelonephritis: Sounds more like a kidney/upper genitourinary infection rather than ureterolithiasis (“kidney stone”). check urinalysis for infection and treat with antibiotics if necessary. kidney stones may or may not ever cause problems until they pass into the ureter and cause obstruction.
