NO!!!: Thyroid hormone is NOT effective for weight loss treatment since it interfers with the NORMAL control of the thyroid by the PITUITARY ("MASTER" GLAND) and you may LOOSE your NORMAL thyroid gland function! FURTHERMORE any weight loss or ENERGY due to use of thyroid hormone in people with NORMAL thyroid function is TEMPORARY! Hope this is helpful! Dr Z
