Depends upon where: you are...In some locations cough suppressants containing small amounts of Codeine are available without RX...(these places are getting to be very few in number due to World Wide Opiate issues. Cough preparations containing DEXTROMETHORPHAN are your next bet...ask local pharmacist for recommendation... Hope this is helpful Dr Z
