Pneumonia: The radiologist describes lung findings which could be inflammation and,therefore,pneumonia. If your physician agrees, a course of antibiotics will be prescribed and after treatment a follow-up chest xray will be obtained to see whether the lung abnormality has cleared. If not, further studies will be suggested to determine the nature of the xray findings. A pulmonologist may be then consulted.
