Check again: Many things can throw off your period. If you are pregnant it may not show up on testing right away. Wait a week and repeat pregnancy test. Other medical condiitons and stress can also effect your cycle. Follow up with gynecologist

Period "late": Sometimes with extra stress (work, home, exercise, etc.) ovulation is delayed and the period therefore is also delayed, as it comes 14 days after ovulation, unless of course pregnancy intervenes. Wait a few more days and obtain a serum HCG test to be certain you are not pregnant. "Home" pregnancy tests are frequently not accurate.
