Waste, toxins,fluid: Kidneys are the main organs for filtering wastes, toxins and removal of excess fluid.(other one- liver- removes wastes).If kidneys "break down", one will accumulate all these wastes, electrolyte levels get deranged which can be life threatening and accumulate unwanted fluid which can cause heart failure.Toxins makes one sick- lose appetite, bad taste, fatigue and mental disturbances.
