A member asked:

Why do our kidneys work better when we are laying down! 2nd- when is our bp highest? sitting standing, or laying down?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

BP should be steady: Regarding our kidneys it does not matter if we lie down or stand up. They function the same irrespective of how we are standing or lying down. The same goes with our BP if we are healthy. If you are healthy BP should not change because the body has systems that keep it in a narrow range. But for some people that system does not work and their BP is normal lying down, but falls as they stand up.
