Ganglionic cyst: "Bump on the top of the foot," can be a ganglionic cyst often caused by tears in the tendon membrane or joint capsules lets contents squeeze out. They aren't cancerous, and In many cases go away by themselves. There COULD be other conditions resulting in a lump on the dorsal (top of) foot. Don't know duration, pain, color, temperature.
