A member asked:

How not to have diarrhea or constipation when you have to change diet drastically due to traveling etc.?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Diet: To prevent constipation, I recommend high fiber in the diet and plenty of water. You can add Metamucil daily and use miralax if needed. For diarrhea, that is usually due to problems from food you have eaten or a "bug" that you have picked up. There is no way to prevent diarrhea, but if you do get it, you may try Immonium.
