Weight loss ?'s: After 40 years of age, one's metabolism slows in relationship to slow atrophy of muscle mass. Low carbohydrate diets with increased protein intake should be combined with exercise (even gradual increases in distance and speed with walking will work !). Keep your calorie intake below 1800 per day, with minimal carbohydrates and increased walking.
