Pregnancy hormones: An increase in HCG occurs soon after implantation of the fertilized egg. Progesterone production is also sustained by the ovary. These values will soon rapidly rise if the pregnancy is doing well. If you have bleeding occur, see your OB provider for an ultrasound to determine location and viability of the fetus.
