MRI: No risk, because Dentist's don't take MRI's in their offices. The equipment is huge, requiring specialized facilities. You may be thinking or Cone Beam Cat Scan (CBCT). The amount of radiation produced is infinitesimally small, and the information gained is absolutely huge.

No.: You are referring to CBCT. These are done routinely to study anatomy prior to oral surgery or implant planning.I have not come across any article linking hearing damage to CBCT of the jaws
