Acid: First thought is refractory gastric reflux....nothing to do with stent replacement....I would first be aggressive with heartburn treatment meaning a PPI (ie, nexium 40) twice a day with Zantac 300 mg, also twice a day for at least a month...If no response, an upper endoscopy should be performed to rule out an acid disorder.....Dr. Murray Wellner
