Shouldn't matter: Minor illness is not a contraindication for getting a flu vaccine. Sometimes a primary care provider will decide you are brewing something that might flare up in the next few days so they might put it off to avoid confusing a reaction to the shot with an existing illness. Most simple sore throats would not meet this criteria.
