Why did an mri not show a tear of suprasponatous tendon, but an mra showed a tear of 80%?

MRI vs MRA: It doesn't make sense. An MRA is tailored to evaluate blood vessels and would not visualize tendons as well as an MRI specifically performed to look at the shoulder/rotator cuff.
