Several options: If he hasn't had pt yet, that may be worthwhile to pursue. If very painful, a cortisone injection may be helpful in temporarily reducing pain. If tried and unsuccessful, surgical repair may be next step. Good luck!

Rotator Cuff: Your daddy has shoulder pain and the radiologist read a "tear". Depending on your dad's age and the history of his pain, the signal change the radiologist says is a tear, may be a normal finding. Look up "impingement syndrome" and then decide about seeing the orthopedist. If his pain persists , he needs to be seen. He may need just exercise, an injection or arthroscopy.
