Missing data: How long ago was the surgery ? Is the kid home or hospitalized ? Any fever ? Have you called the treating surgeon ? You get the most from this site when you provide specific background information that will allow a reasoned response to any question. There is too much missing info here to be precise but it doesn't sound normal, You need to call the treating doc.
