A member asked:

Hello, i had 2 vaccination for hep b last year but did not managed to have 3rd one. are 2 sufficient for protetcion?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Can get the 3rd shot: If already late, one can just get the third shot at any time. However, if a person has a close contact or a household contact with Hep B (the contact is a Hep B carrier), then the person should try to stick closely to the official shot schedule... because reliable, enduring protection is known to happen after 3 shots (by research data). There is some unknown level of protection after 1 or 2 shots.
