Vaccinate the family: If a new baby is in the home, it is wisest to vaccinate the family so that family members do not spread flu to the baby. The 2017-2018 flu season in the US began early (in late October instead of late November) and was a bad season. Type A was most common at first, peaked and dropped off. Type B started about a month after Type A started, peaked later, and has dropped off. A baby can catch both.
