Orthodontist: An open bite can be corrected by orthodontic treatment. Try and get an appointment with an orthodontist in your area to have her evaluated. Also if she has any oral habits like thumb-sucking or tongue thrusting then try and discourage her from doing this.

Orthodontist: Your daughter should have been referred by her Dentist to an Orthodontic Specialist by age 7 for dentofacial growth and development supervision. Please make an Initial Examination appointment (usually free) with an Orthodontist as soon as possible.
