Stop worrying : Lab ranges are set so that a few percent of healthier fall outside on either side. If your red count is high, the others are okay and your MCV is losing, you may have thalassemia minima.

I live in Denver. I have a very slightly elevated red blood cell count, but normal blood oxygen levels 96%-99%. What can cause this? I have a 6.4 reading on red blood cell count. All other blood metrics are normal.
5 months post Covid 19 my red blood cell count is marginally high (5.69 vs range of 4.5-5.5) which may explain why I feel like I am not getting enough oxygen. Other blood tests look fine but asthma and allergy meds are not helping. Ideas welcome.
