Yes: Symptoms vary when you are ill. Usually, time will tell if you are going to vomit or have diarrhea. It is natures way of trying to eliminate the offending germ from the GI system. This is why bowel rest is important when you get either. Often prescribed bowel rest, no food for 24 hours. Liquid as tolerated. If not tolerated you must go to the hospital for IV fluids.
