I have gout since 8th in my knee.still vey painful and knee is very stiff.using cortisone for pain as needed.is this too long for. a gout episode?

Re-evaluation: Sounds more like a knee problem due to arthritis. Go to a different doctor, take your meds and see if there is some change. Gout is treatable but newer meds are more useful. Better options available if you know for certain it is due to gout.
