A member asked:

I'm due for a hysterectomy on the 28th of march but have flu symtoms?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hysterectomy: flu?: Assuming you will have general anesthesia, the anesthesia pre-op lab and exam will clear you for any immediate respiratory symptoms, and cancel the surgery if necessary. If you have a temperature elevation, and/or respiratory difficulties, cough, etc., I would call your surgeon and cancel the surgery.
