A member asked:

My grandmother told me that endometriosis runs in the family and that i should get tested, how would i find out if i have it or not?

Endometriosis can: only be truly diagnosed by undergoing a laparoscopic surgery. It has to be directly visualized during surgery. It is however not necessary to check for it just because someone in your family also has it. Avoid surgeries for endometriosis unless absolutely necessary.
