Possible allergy: Your blocked nose may have a polyp, but you may also have a sinus problem with a post nasal drip. However, your symptoms may represent an allergic condition. Consult an allergist or an ENT specialist for an evaluation.

See an ENT: If you are under age 18. This could be serious. You must have a throat culture to rule out strep. Strep infections can attack the heart, kidney and eyes.
If older usually a cold can easily result in chronic sinusitis and only a ct scan of sinuses will confirm that. In any case you must see either your primary care or an ENT specialist for culture, ct and treatment.
