A member asked:

I am experiencing lower abdominal pain (side: right) . the following also describe me: side pain, abdominal discomfort, tender abdomen, sudden abdominal pain, and appetite changes. what should i do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

E.R. checks appendix: Lower abdominal discomfort can be from many things. For pain there, appendicitis is a concern (pain usually worsens over time, with fever coming on). If one is constipated for several days, stool can back up all the way to the right side and cause discomfort or pain. Gallstones, kidney stones, or gastroenteritis can also cause pain. One's primary doctor or ER can check. Somebody else should drive.
