No: Don't believe the ads. Spend your money on something useful like salads and a gym membership. If you look like the gov. Of nj, see about surgery.

What kind of seeds are the healthiest as a diet supplement?

Dr. Pamela Pappas
Psychiatry 42 years experience
Many: If you're going to eat seeds, they should be organic, raw ones. Chia seeds come to mind, because they are high in omega-3 fatty acids. Most of us don't get nearly enough of these essential fatty acids in our diets. Also pumpkin, sunflower, hemp, and sesame seeds. Any of these can be eaten as food - you don't have to take a supplement capsule.

A 34-year-old female asked:

Is the diet supplement dopamite safe?

1 doctor answer1 doctor weighed in
Dr. Scott Bolhack
Wound care 35 years experience
Dopamite: Like most 'supplements' the buyer should be aware: that they do not work. The quality of any supplement can never be assured first of all. Second, look for magical ingredients from strange plants in exotic places: those places are great to visit on vacation, but using chopped up and dried extracts of some plant from far away is another thing altogether. None of these supplements are ever tested in.

A 18-year-old female asked:

I would like to try a diet supplement name lineatabs. Can anyone tell me any problems i might have from taking this supplement. Thank you.

Dr. Robert Kwok

Not known yet: Lineatabs are "weight loss" products, and since they are not medications approved by the fda, lineatabs products are probably not tested for interactions and side effects like real medicines are. So, that means nobody really knows what side effects there are. If a lineatabs user hears of some interaction or thinks she is getting a side effect, she can visit her primary care doctor.
