A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hard to be sure: A first thought would be a cavernous hemangioma, which is a blood vessel collection. It is deeper but similar in origin to a strawberry mark. However, these are usually grow & become prominent by age 1. I would need to look at it & even then might want some tests. If it is midline over the spine it needs to be evaluated soon as that could be a problem.
