Thyroidectomy. it is my 6th day in the hospital. kept me for low levels of calcium. drs won't discharge me. why they won't let me go home ? and is it life threatening to sign out against medical advice?

Do not sign out AMA: Hypothyroidism can be life threatening. This is a potential complication and is monitored after thyroidectomy in case the parathyroid was either injured or removed during surgery.
