A member asked:

What kind of likelihood is there of recovery from a brain tumor?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on the type: Brain tumors may span the range of benign to malignant pathologies. If the tumor is benign such as a pituitary tumor or meningioma, a total cure may be achieved with surgical resection alone.Recovery may be complete depending on the location and the "collateral" injury that may ensure in reaching the tumor. Malignant brain tumors may have recovery depending on response to radiation/chemotherapy.
