A member asked:

Are primary brain tumors rare in women in their thirties? overall, what are statistics and likelihood? healthy, nonsmoker.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Primary tumors: are rare PERIOD. In the 30-40 age group, there is actually an uptick in the incidence of astrocytomas and multifocal glioblastomas, though I am not certain exactly how much. Otherwise the overall incidence is not that bad to require screening tests.
