Likely heartburn: The swallow tube enters the stomach in back of the heart at that location. A backwash of stomach acid that has produced a painful irritated site will act that way. Pressure directly over the site may aggravate it. Avoidance of caffeine, antacid tablets may help in the short term. If it persists see your doc.
