Fetal Ultrasound: Usually fetal ultrasound is done at approximately 11-12 gestational weeks for screening for some genetic issues, and again at about 20 weeks, for growth parameters. Ultrasound will not "guarantee" that there are no problems, so ask your OB provider about other testing based on age and family history.
