A member asked:

Can you die if you get a nosebleed in your sleep and the blood drips back into your airway/lungs?

Unlikely: The blood going into the airway is likely to provoke cough so bad that it would wake the person up. Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Possible: But unlikely. Nose bleeding can run into throat and gets swallowed commonly ,and the airways are protected by coughing. In a rare case the airway can be involved and obstructed.enough to cause hypoxia and in addition If enough bleeding shock can occur.
