A member asked:

Tsh is 6.03 (range: 0.45-4.50). i declined treatment at this time b/c no symptoms and endo said thats fine. how often should blood test be repeated?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Suggestion of endo: Did the endo suggest a time for repeating? If so, go with that. It is your prerogative to decline treatment, though it would be better to follow the endo's advice. Repeat the test in about 6 months. Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
