A member asked:

I am on yearly reclast infusions due to malabsorbsion (sbs). i am still getting fractures at least once a year. can i get reclast more often?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes you should: Reclast has been used for several conditions including patients with cancer where it has been used once monthly to once every 3 monthly. For Osteoporosis it has been used once every 6 months as a preventive measure. So you should ask her your doctor to reassess your condition and ask for infusion more often, either at 6 month or even 3 monthly for one year and then reduce it to once every 6 months
