Probably not herpes: Initial herpes outbreaks typically occur where the virus is massaged into the tissues, i.e. sites of maximum friction during sex. That probably doesn't include your buttock, which would not be the site of first herpes symptoms. Consider visiting the nearby Melbourne Sexual Health Centre.
