Any lab can test: For anemia. Trying to donate blood is the wrong way to find out.

Agree wi Dr. Dugan: No one should go to the American Red Cross for the purpose of getting free blood work. They will test your blood. If your hemoglobin level is too low you will not be allowed to donate blood at that time.
