Normal range: A normal fetal heart rate (FHR) generally ranges from 120 to 160 beats per minute (bpm) in the in utero period. This is measurable sonographically from approximately 6 weeks and the normal range varies during gestation, increasing to about 170 bpm at 10 weeks and decreasing from then to about 130 bpm at term. But since your baby seems to be very active go to a clinic for a wellness check-up.

Fetus or baby?: Fetal heart rate at 14 weeks refers to the embryonic child's heart rate in a woman who is 2-1/2 months pregnant. You are apparently referring to a 14-week old baby. There is no useful information gained from a random momentary measurement of pulse rate in an otherwise healthy-appearing baby not demonstrating signs of stress or illness. If the baby is active and happy, don't go looking for trouble.
