Bad? kale: Throat pain can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or flu (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies, irritants, or stomach acid. Usually, a person sees a doctor if the throat is bothersome or doesn't get well quickly (mainly to check for strep throat). Good kale, medium kale, and bad kale mean different things to different people.
