Caution: Rabies is primarily transmitted via the rabid animal’s saliva when it bites or scratches someone. Licks to open wounds or grazed and broken skin, or to the lining of the mouth and nose, can also transmit rabies. If the cat had an open wound you could be at risk. If just you had the open wound the risk is low. If you have a fever or feel sick go to a clinic immediately!
