Needs specialty eval: The only STD that might be involved with singing/ vocal cords are strains of HPV, which can cause recurrent vocal cord papillomas.(growths) These are very rare and occur in kids exposed to HPV during childbirth or possibly oral sex as an adult. They can be mistaken for other vocal growths with different origins. A complete evaluation by an ENT with experience in this area is needed.
