Sounds OK: What are you concerned about? If "chronic yeast infection" means persistent or recurrent vaginal yeast infections, you have been prescribed stanard, recommended treamtent. It sounds like you are in the care of a knowledgeable doctor. Stay with her. Fluconazole has almost no adverse effects and there are no "repercussions" except to help prevent recurrent yeast.
