A member asked:

I had a pacemaker installed and i was prescribed desoximetasone cream. any ideas as to why or was this a mistake on the invoice?

Dr. John Chiu answered

Call the doctor: The only thing I can think of for using a topical steroid is to prevent scarring on the surgical wound in people prone to develop keloid. Nonetheless I applaud you for questioning the Rx. Contact the doctor who prescribed it to find out why since this appears to have nothing to do with your pacemaker .
