It happens: If the kid is taking fluids well enough to wet diapers every 6-8 hours & be playful some it is likely something you can monitor at home. Kids this age are expected to get 5-7 URI's/yr and many last a week to ten days. If the kid spooks you by seeming worse, have it evaluated.
