Breastfeeding: Breastfeeding tends to suppress the menstrual cycle but this does not happen to everyone. It is very common to have some irregular menstrual bleeding when breastfeeding. This is normal. Once breast-feeding is stopped the cycles tend to return to normal. If you are wanting better control over bleeding see your Obgyn and discuss birth control options
