I swallowed the prong from a plastic fork 5 days ago while eating a burrito. i immediately went to the er, but the gi doc told me that i'd be fine and it would pass in my stool. i have had some gastritis flare up because of stress though. thoughts?

Not a problem: You might have a little gastritis from the burrito. The prong will easily pass through your system; the GI tract is well equipped deal with such foreign objects. Bones with sharp edges are frequently swallowed causing no problem . You should have no problems
