Needs more study but: There's not a lot of research that gives a good answer to this question but it should be safe to try 500 mg 3x/day with food. According to https://nootriment.com/curcumin-dosage/ "4 g of curcumin a day for 30 days did not result in serious side effect" so it may be safe to go even higher but start with 500 mg 3x/day and after 2 weeks could try a bit more; if side effects like stomach upset reduce.
