Flu is most likely: Given the symptoms you have described, and the season of the year, flu would seem most likely. Rest, plenty of fluids, time and NSAIDS or Tylenol should help. In my humble opinion, Tamiflu is not worth taking. AT best you get better one day sooner.

Viral syndrome: Since you're in the first week of symptoms - appears to be a viral illness that you are treating appropriately. It does not suggest meningitis or the flu. Rest, fluids, nsaids or acetaminophen help minimize the symptoms while your body recovers. Anticipate will resolve or improve over the next 3-5 days, if does not or worsens would get evaluated by a physician.

Mgt.: Your GI symptoms are more consistent with a viral illness, unless you have mucus or blood associated. Keep well hydrated, a probiotic and avoiding milk products may help. Strep can be ruled out by obtaining a throat swab. If not better or if fever occurs, please see your PCP. If you are experiencing difficulty breathing please proceed to acute care.
